Help Shape the Future of Fundraising

We’re evolving the Fundraising Effectiveness Project to better reflect the realities fundraisers face every day, and your voice is essential.

If fundraising is a part of your job, take 5 minutes to share your experiences, challenges, and ideas. Your input will shape new tools, data insights, and strategies built with fundraisers, not just about them.

Project Updates

The Fundraising Effectiveness Project is constantly developing to better meet the needs of the community, delivering trusted data insights that help fundraisers improve their outcomes, driving growth and increasing generosity across the nonprofit sector.

The Fundraising Effectiveness Project (FEP) is the nonprofit sector’s leading benchmark initiative, offering quarterly insights into giving trends, donor retention, and overall fundraising health. These reports equip fundraisers, consultants, and sector leaders with data they can trust to guide strategic decision-making.

Volunteer ambassadors and expert-led subcommittees help interpret this data and share practical takeaways, ensuring the findings support real-world decisions and catalyze positive change.

The Fundraising Effectiveness Project has adopted a new structure that will more clearly formalize the way that it will draw on a network that will best represent the new mission and vision. Sign up below for news and updates as we grow!

Who We Are

Trusted data and actionable insights to improve generosity in the philanthropic sector

The Fundraising Effectiveness Project (FEP) delivers trusted data insights that help fundraisers improve their outcomes, driving growth and increasing generosity across the nonprofit sector. We envision a sector where actionable data guides every fundraiser’s decisions, helping nonprofits become more effective and adaptive. Since its founding in 2006, FEP has become a leading resource for data-driven insights. FEP is a collaborative project of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Foundation for Philanthropy and GivingTuesday.
